The ruby logo contest winner has been announced
and it’s not me :(

Part of the brief was the ability to print at small sizes and to work in black and white, it might be sour grapes coming through, but I don’t think the winner would hold up. The ruby masses don’t seem too pleased…
Update: actually I know why I lost my logo looks too much like a) superman’s b) a strawberry c) the bad guy from Tron (or is that a plus?)

Nice work! Feel free to say no, but could you possibly give me a copy of the Illustrator / whatever file you used for this? I’m looking at possibly redoing the Ruby Inside logo and I think this might be a great shape to work from. I’m not going to just release anything with telling you though and would give you credit in any case. I just want to have a play with it though as I think this is a great base to work from.

Superman aside, I prefer yours. It is simple, to the point, and would scale very well.
